Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. He has made major global advancements into Latin pop scene. In 2016, his hit Una Lady Como Tu was the recipient of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. The album he released as his debut ADN came out through La Industria Inc., which is a Medellin-based Sony distribution company. The album made it to the 8th spot on the Top Latin Albums Chart. The following year, he collaborated with Ozuna to create Vaina Loca, it was a Top Five hit. In the year 2020, he debuted his charting sophomore album Dopamina and collaborated on Mala Influencia with Noriel. He appeared later in 2021 as a duo with TINI on her top streaming single Maldita Foto. In 2023, the year 2000, the cult hit La Bachata was released. Turizo's brother and mother were musicians when Turizo was born. According to Turizo, music is a vital part of his life. When he was a kid, he began learning how to play the ukulele, saxophone and piano.
